Grafen Otto von Northeim

In 1070 Desenburg was conquered by The emperor Henry IV. It was given to the Counts of Schwalinberg by Henry the Lion. In 1168 Widikund of Schwalinberg was forcefully expelled for insubordination. In 1192 Henry VI gave the castle to the Bishop of Paderborn. It has been in the possession of the family of Herren von Spiegel ( now Grafen von Spiegel zu Desenberg. It has been in decay since the 17th century.
