Located at the meeting of the Mosel and the Rhein rivers, Koblenz occupies a key point for anyone interested in looking at a great number of important castles. I can give you no details about Koblenz for I have never gone into town. I have an aversion to large cities and avoid them at all costs. But there is no denying the availability of any and all needs the traveler may have. If only one castle is your limit then it must be Marksburg at Braubach on the Rhein. This is the home of the German castle association and is one of the finest, best preserved castles in the country.
